Terms of service

The fine print, explained

These terms set out the simple agreement between you and Vona when you visit our site or place an order. We’ve kept them clear and upfront, please read them before shopping with us.

Effective & last updated: August 2, 2026

Welcome to Vona Fine Jewels. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, online store, products, content, and related services (the “Services”). In these Terms, “Vona,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Vona Jeweles, doing business as Vona Fine Jewels; “you” refers to anyone using the Services or buying from us. Our store is powered by Shopify.

By using the site, placing an order, or submitting content, you agree to these Terms and to the policies they incorporate, including our Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping & Delivery details, Ring Care Guide, and 180-Day Quality Guarantee. Please read them carefully; if you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.

Your Consumer Rights

These Terms describe our agreement with you, but they don’t remove, restrict, or waive any consumer right or legal remedy that can’t lawfully be waived. If anything here conflicts with a mandatory consumer-protection law that applies to you, that law controls. Your rights may vary depending on where you live.

Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your state to place an order; minors may browse only with a parent or guardian’s supervision. By ordering, you confirm that you can enter a binding agreement, that your information is accurate, that you’re authorized to use your payment method, and that your purchase is for lawful personal or household use rather than unauthorized resale. We may refuse, limit, or cancel any order we reasonably believe involves fraud, resale, misuse, or a violation of these Terms.

Products, Materials & Finishes

We work hard to describe and picture our jewelry accurately, but screens, lighting, photography, and small production variations mean the physical item may differ slightly, colors especially may not match your display exactly, and measurements are approximate unless a product page says otherwise. Please review each product page before buying.

Terms like “gold-tone,” “silver-tone,” “stainless steel,” “tarnish-resistant,” “water-resistant,” and “hypoallergenic” carry the meaning given on the product page. Unless clearly stated, gold-tone isn’t solid gold, silver-tone isn’t sterling silver, tarnish resistance doesn’t mean a piece will never tarnish or scratch, water resistance doesn’t mean waterproof, and a piece described as suitable for sensitive skin isn’t guaranteed irritation-free for everyone.

A ring’s appearance and longevity depend on how often it’s worn, your skin chemistry, moisture, and exposure to soap, lotion, sanitizer, perfume, chlorine, salt water, cleaning products, friction, and how it’s cleaned and stored. Normal wear and gradual changes in appearance are not necessarily defects.

Using Your Ring Safely

Our adjustable, open-wrap rings should be removed before adjusting, and shaped slowly and gently only when needed. Repeated bending, excessive force, or pulling on the decorative ends can weaken, scratch, or break a ring, so once you find a comfortable fit, we recommend leaving it there. Rings with beads or moving parts are made for light, gentle movement, please don’t pull, twist, chew, force, lubricate, or use tools on them.

Our jewelry contains small parts, is not a toy, and should be kept away from young children and anyone who might place small objects in their mouth. Remove a ring immediately if you notice pain, numbness, significant swelling, discoloration, persistent redness, itching, or a rash, and seek medical help if a reaction is severe or continues. Skin reactions vary, and we can’t guarantee a material will suit every person.

Wellness Disclaimer

Vona jewelry is a lifestyle accessory that may support a personal mindfulness, affirmation, or grounding routine. Our products, descriptions, testimonials, and content are for general informational purposes only. They are not medical devices, medical advice, or mental-health treatment, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent anxiety or any other condition. Experiences vary, we don’t promise any particular result, and you should never delay or replace professional care because of anything on the Services.

Orders & Acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. An automated confirmation email means we received your order, not that we’ve accepted it, acceptance happens when we confirm it, begin fulfillment, or ship, whichever comes first. Before accepting, we may decline or cancel an order for reasons such as unavailability, a pricing or description error, a payment or address problem, suspected fraud, a quantity limit, a legal restriction, or a violation of these Terms. If we cancel after you’ve paid, we’ll refund the amount charged for the affected items.

Adding an item to your cart doesn’t reserve it, and products may sell out or be offered in limited quantities. We may reasonably limit quantities per customer or order, restrict promotions, and decline suspected reseller or duplicate orders.

Reviewing & Changing Your Order

Please review your order carefully before submitting, you’re responsible for confirming the product, finish, quantity, addresses, email, shipping method, and any discount code. We begin processing quickly, so contact us promptly at info.vonajewels@gmail.com if something is wrong. We’ll do our best, but changes and cancellations aren’t guaranteed once processing begins, and an order that has shipped must be handled through our Returns & Refunds Policy after delivery.

Prices, Payment & Promotions

Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and may change without notice; the price that applies is generally the one shown when you submit your order, subject to correcting an obvious error. Listed prices don’t include shipping, taxes, or other government or carrier charges unless stated, those are shown at checkout where available.

Payments are handled by Shopify Payments or another provider, whose terms may apply. By paying, you confirm your information is accurate and authorized. We may use fraud-screening tools and request verification, and please never email full card numbers or other sensitive financial details.

Promotions may carry their own terms (dates, exclusions, minimums, limits, and eligibility). Unless stated otherwise, only one discount code applies per order, codes have no cash value, and codes can’t be added after checkout. If a listing contains a clear pricing error, we may correct or cancel it, and we won’t charge a corrected higher price without your agreement.

Shipping & Delivery

We currently ship only to eligible addresses within the United States and don’t offer international shipping yet. Processing time and carrier transit time are separate, and delivery dates are estimates unless a service is expressly guaranteed. Delivery may be affected by carrier delays, weather, holidays, address errors, and other circumstances outside our control; we’re not responsible for delays we didn’t cause, though this doesn’t remove any remedy the law requires. If an order can’t ship in the promised time, we’ll give you the notice and options the law requires, which may include a revised date or a refund.

You’re responsible for a complete, accurate shipping address, including any apartment or unit number. Address changes aren’t guaranteed once processing begins, and once an order is with the carrier we may be unable to redirect it. A package returned because of an incorrect address, refusal, or failure to collect may be treated as a standard return, and you may be responsible for reshipping costs caused by incorrect information.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy. In short, you have 30 calendar days from delivery to request a standard return, approval isn’t automatic and the item must meet the policy’s eligibility requirements. For returns based on fit, preference, or a change of mind, you’re responsible for return shipping, original shipping is generally nonrefundable, the item must be in eligible original condition, and prior authorization is required, items sent back without it may not be accepted.

We don’t currently offer direct exchanges. To get a different item or finish, request a return for the original eligible item, receive authorization, and place a separate order, inventory isn’t reserved while a return is pending, and the new order is a separate transaction at the prices and availability then in effect. Nothing here limits a consumer right that can’t legally be waived.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order promptly and contact info.vonajewels@gmail.com as soon as possible if an item arrived damaged, appears defective, is the wrong item, or is missing. Include your name, order number, a description, clear photos (and a short video for a moving-component issue), and photos of the packaging when relevant, and keep everything until our review is complete. When we confirm an order arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, we’ll provide an appropriate resolution and return instructions.

The 180-Day Quality Guarantee

Eligible products may be covered by our 180-Day Quality Guarantee, which applies to verified defects in materials or workmanship reported within 180 days of delivery, such as an item that arrived cracked, a loose or detached component, a moving part that didn’t work, a sharp edge, or a structural failure during ordinary use.

It generally doesn’t cover normal scratches or finish wear, fading or tarnishing, changes from skin chemistry, exposure to water or chemicals, damage from repeated adjustment or accidents, product buildup, improper cleaning or storage, unauthorized repairs, lost or stolen jewelry, or failure to follow the Ring Care Guide. To claim, email info.vonajewels@gmail.com with proof of purchase, a description, and photos or video. For an approved claim we’ll usually provide a replacement, or store credit, a refund, or another remedy when replacement isn’t possible, and we’ll cover reasonable standard shipping. Nothing in the guarantee limits a warranty or consumer right that can’t legally be excluded.

Ring Care & Normal Wear

You’re responsible for following our Ring Care Guide. Jewelry naturally wears over time, light surface scratches, gradual finish changes, small changes in shine, and residue from personal-care products are normal wear, not defects. Damage from improper care, misuse, repeated adjustment, chemical exposure, attempted repair, or use inconsistent with the care instructions may not qualify for a return or guarantee claim.

Reviews & Submitted Content

You may be able to submit reviews, photos, videos, comments, or other “Customer Content.” You keep ownership of your original content, but by submitting it you grant Vona a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, format, reproduce, display, distribute, and use it to operate and promote the Services, this doesn’t stop you from using your own content elsewhere.

You confirm that your content is yours to share, reflects your honest experience, discloses any incentive you received, and doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights or contain unlawful material, malware, or sensitive personal information. Nothing here limits your right to post an honest or critical review. We may decline or remove content that’s private, false, fraudulent, off-topic, abusive, unlawful, or harmful, but we won’t remove a review just because it’s unfavorable.

If you send us general ideas or feedback, it’s not confidential, we’re not required to use it or pay for it, and we may use it to improve our business, this doesn’t transfer ownership of your protected content beyond the license above.

Intellectual Property

Our names, logos, product photos, illustrations, text, graphics, designs, layouts, and branding are owned by or licensed to Vona and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive right to use the Services for lawful, personal, noncommercial purposes. Without our written permission you may not copy or republish substantial content, use our photos commercially, reproduce our branding, create counterfeit listings, remove notices, scrape or extract content, frame or mirror the Services, or create derivative works, all rights not granted are reserved.

Shopify’s names and marks belong to Shopify; other third-party marks belong to their owners. If you believe material on the Services infringes your copyright, contact info.vonajewels@gmail.com with details of the work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a good-faith statement, and your signature.

Acceptable Use

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Break the law or commit or attempt fraud
  • Use an unauthorized payment method or submit false information
  • Impersonate another person or infringe intellectual-property rights
  • Harass, threaten, abuse, or defame anyone
  • Transmit malware or attempt unauthorized access
  • Interfere with the site’s security or operation, or collect others’ information
  • Send spam, manipulate reviews, or scrape data without permission
  • Order for unauthorized resale, or place an unreasonable burden on the Services

We may investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable action, including restricting access, canceling an order, preserving evidence, or contacting authorities.

Third Parties & Our Relationship With Shopify

The Services may link to or rely on third parties such as Shopify, Shop, Shop Pay, payment processors, shipping carriers, review services, social platforms, and analytics providers, each governed by its own terms and privacy policies. We don’t control every aspect of an independent third-party service and aren’t responsible for its separate content, security, or practices, and a link isn’t necessarily an endorsement.

Our store is powered by Shopify, which provides hosting, product pages, cart, checkout, payments, order management, security, and other tools. Even so, Vona is the seller, your purchase is from us, not Shopify, and we determine descriptions, pricing, availability, fulfillment, returns, refunds, guarantees, and customer service. Shopify doesn’t manufacture our products or take responsibility for our representations or fulfillment. Certain Shopify consumer services like Shop Pay may be governed by separate terms between you and Shopify, and nothing here releases Shopify from responsibility for its own independent conduct that can’t legally be excluded.

Privacy & Communications

How we collect, use, and share personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. Because Shopify powers our store, information you submit may also be processed by Shopify and its providers, and certain Shopify consumer services process information under Shopify’s own notices.

By using the Services or contacting us electronically, you agree we may send transaction-related communications, such as order confirmations, shipping updates, return information, support responses, security notices, and material policy updates, by email or website notice. These aren’t marketing. Please provide an accurate email address and check your spam folder for order communications.

Availability & Website Information

We aim to keep the Services running well but can’t guarantee uninterrupted access, they may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical or security events, Shopify or payment-provider interruptions, outages, or other events outside our control, and we may modify or discontinue a feature when reasonably necessary. If an interruption affects an accepted order, we’ll continue to honor our obligations under the law and your order terms.

General information, guides, sizing suggestions, and care tips are provided for convenience and may not apply to every person or situation, so you’re responsible for deciding whether a product suits your intended use. This doesn’t disclaim an express promise we make, an applicable guarantee or warranty, a mandatory consumer remedy, or our obligation to provide products as described.

Warranties & Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its non-product technical features are provided on an “as available” basis, we don’t guarantee it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or displayed identically on every device. Products remain subject to the express descriptions, guarantees, and warranties we make, along with all implied warranties and consumer rights that can’t legally be excluded. Nothing here disclaims an express promise or limits a mandatory consumer remedy, and California law defines the implied warranty of merchantability for applicable goods.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vona won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data. Where we’re legally liable for a particular order, our total liability won’t exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim, except where the law requires otherwise. These limits don’t apply to liability that can’t legally be limited, such as fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, certain personal injuries, or mandatory consumer rights, and in some jurisdictions these limits apply only to the maximum extent allowed.

Indemnification & Events Outside Our Control

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse and protect Vona from reasonable third-party claims and costs resulting directly from your unlawful use of the Services, your fraud or misconduct, your infringement of another’s rights, Customer Content you had no right to submit, or your material violation of these Terms. This doesn’t apply to claims caused by our own negligence, wrongful conduct, defective products, or breach of our obligations, and we’ll give reasonable notice of a covered claim.

Vona isn’t responsible for a delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather, war or civil unrest, government action, public-health emergencies, labor or transportation disruptions, carrier failures, utility or internet outages, or Shopify or payment-network interruptions, though this doesn’t remove any notice, cancellation, or refund the law requires.

Suspension & Termination

You may stop using the Services anytime. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of fraud, a security risk, unlawful conduct, abuse, a material violation of these Terms, or conduct that may harm Vona, Shopify, a provider, or another user. Termination doesn’t erase obligations that arose beforehand, and provisions meant to survive, such as those on intellectual property, Customer Content, payment, warranties, liability, and governing law, continue afterward.

Resolving Concerns, Governing Law & Venue

We’d much rather resolve any concern directly and kindly, so please contact info.vonajewels@gmail.com before starting formal proceedings, with your name, order number, a description, and the resolution you’d like. This informal step doesn’t prevent either of us from seeking urgent relief, using small-claims court, or acting before a legal deadline.

These Terms and purchases through the Services are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights, proceedings not brought in small-claims court will be brought in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, and you and Vona consent to their jurisdiction. This doesn’t deprive you of mandatory protections in your place of residence that can’t be waived.

General Terms

If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as needed, or severed, and the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver, and a waiver is effective only in writing from an authorized representative. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent, while Vona may transfer them as part of a merger, sale, or transfer of the business.

These Terms, plus the policies they incorporate, are the entire agreement between you and Vona about the Services, replacing prior discussions except an express written agreement we sign. If a product page, promotion, or specific policy conflicts with these general Terms, the more specific terms control for that subject. We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our products, operations, Shopify features, or the law, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, material changes generally apply going forward, and an order is generally governed by the Terms in effect when it was accepted.
